From the Pastor February 2025

Have you ever felt like your life is too ordinary to be used by God? Maybe you think you don’t have the right
skills, the right background, or the right kind of influence to make a difference for his kingdom. But what if I
told you that throughout Scripture, God has always chosen ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary
things?
Think about it—Moses was tending sheep when God called him from the burning bush. David was just a
shepherd boy when God anointed him king. Mary was a young woman in an insignificant town when an
gel told her she would carry the Son of God. Peter was a fisherman with a small business when Jesus invited
him to be a disciple.
This month, we see Jesus stepping into ordinary lives, calling various people to something greater than they
ever imagined. Whether it’s the disciples on the shores of Galilee, the tax collector at his booth, or even
those who feel overlooked and unworthy, Jesus’ call remains the same: “Follow me.” He meets us where we
are, in the middle of our routines, and invites us into his mission of love, redemption, and grace.
Perhaps you’ve wondered what God might be calling you to in this season. It may not be something grand or
spectacular in the world’s eyes, but every act of faithfulness, every moment of service, every word of encouragement matters in God’s kingdom. No life is too small, no story too ordinary for him to use.
So, as we journey together this month, I encourage you to open your heart to Jesus’ call. Where is he inviting
you to step out in faith? How might he be using your ordinary life to reflect his extraordinary love?
May we be ready to say yes, just as so many before us have.
Grace and peace,
Pastor Ramy
